Fade to the inside of a funeral home where there is family and friends crying over the dead Mr. Bob Tompson.
(MSBT) Mrs. Bob Tompson – Oh, I can’t believe that he’s gone.
(RT) Mr. Rick Tompson – I know… He was such a good man. Very loyal and never took more than he needed. Always there for a good time or a good shoulder.
MSBT – I just don’t know what to do. I could never live without him and now here I am.
RT – I know, I know…. It is a lovely funeral thought.
MSBT – Oh thank you. You think he would have liked it?
RT – Oh of course. I mean I wish I was dead right now so I could have a funeral as nice as this one!
(Silence for a few moments as other people pass by wishing MSBT their best)
RT – How is it the best of us go so soon?
MSBT – I know, I know. He was fine until the doctor said he was dead.
RT – Just like that.
MSBT – Just like that.
(Silence for a moment)
(A doctor approches MSBT)
(DOC) Doctor – Mrs. Bob Tompson?
MSBT – Yes? Oh hello Doctor. Thank you for coming.
DOC – Well… yes…. of course… Lovely funeral.
RT – I just said that.
DOC – Um… of course. Mrs. Tompson, may I speak with you in private?
MSBT – Yes, of course.
