In the year XXXX, war encompasses the world. The nations of the world, one by one, are forced to fight an army that has arisen from no where. Each nation stands to fight and each nation falls. When all of the prisoners are collected, they are shipped to different regions. In one region, an adult rises to ask a general, who is riding through the camp, “Why there was a need for all of this death and suffering?” The person does not realize that the general he is talking to is actually the commander of the west, the Black General (he controls all of N. American and S. America). The Black General is on a horse that bucks. The Black General is about to kill the person for questioning his command but a child interferes and the Black General kills them both. Another person stands and says that he will not stand for this horror any more and commands “God, smite this Demon!” The Black General laughs and says to the person that he has no clue how right he is. But God does nothing. The Black General tells the man that his god has forgotten him. Then the clouds part and a light tells the man to attack the Black General with all of his might. So the man clenches his fists and charges at the Black General with no weapon in hand. He leaps up into the air. The Black General looks up and is blinded by the sun and as the man comes down, the Black General’s arm is chopped off. The man (Now known as the Warrior), the Black General, and everyone else are stunned. The Warrior is now in shining armor with a sword and shield in hand, given to him by the divine. The Warrior is in compassed in light and wings burst through his back as a helmet descends from the heavens onto his head. With divine power running through him, he attacks again but is bitch slapped away. The Black General laughs as he chants a spell which grows back his arm.

(First Version) The Black General tells the man that “my army and I are no ordinary army, but the armies of the devil himself. We are the Regiments of Hell.” He and his horse then transform into skeletal beings. The army turns in to demons. The Warrior does not care for himself and attacks again. The Black General defeats the Warrior and tells him that “[he] should be proud that you will be taken to the underworld by none other than the right hand so Satan himself, DEATH!”

(Second Version) “Amusing” says the Black General. “it seems your ‘god’ does have a power other than being complete and utter selfish.” The Black General doesn’t flinch and storms the Warrior ready to strike.

As the Black General was about to strike, a spear hits him. Another man is standing there with his body in the stance of someone who has just thrown a spear. His eyes are in shock and can not believe in what he has just done. The man is the Warrior’s friend from his childhood. The man will be known as the Barbarian. The Black General’s eyes glowed bright red with rage. He screams, “You maggots dare rise against me! I will tear you limb from limb and your death will be the heard across the world!” The Black General charges at the Barbarian at full force. The Barbarian flees in terror until he hears the same voice the Warrior heard. It tells him to build his inner strength at stand his ground. The voice was so sweet and comforting that the Barbarian stopped where he was and turned around to face the Black General. The Barbarian let out a roar that swept across the peasants around him like a wave crashing down upon the rocks. A light shined from within him and engulfed his being. A huge hammer and axe appeared in each hand. Both were the size of the Barbarian himself. The roar or the light did not stop the Black General, but instead it pushed him further to strike. The Barbarian stood firm but the power of the Black General was too much. The Barbarian was flung with tremendous force from the bear fist of the Black General. But this was enough time for the Warrior to regain his strength. Both the Warrior and the Barbarian rose from the dusty ground to face the Black General together. They fight as hard as they possible could but the Black General was too strong. Both men lay dying in the ground.
“Stop!” screams a man. A third man rose, he will be known as the Sage. The Sage came from the crowd of cowering peasants. The Black General looked at the man and sensed something that angered him. It will be a divine power that is stored within the Sage, for he is a true follower of God. The Black General pulled the spear out of his shoulder and threw it at the Sage. Without moving the spear was turned to dust (deflected) right before hitting the Sage. The Black General felt his power and the rising power of the peasants. He decided that instead of trying to fight an army of peasants, he would make an example of the Barbarian. The Black General grabbed the Barbarian and spoke, “I will spare these fools but I will leave a small token of my appreciation to this Barbarian for his valor.” The Black General pulled out a small red dagger and stabbed the Barbarian in the chest, as the Sage and peasants charged toward him. Then the Black General dropped the Barbarian and rode off. As the Sage reached the Barbarian he realized what had just happened. The Barbarian had been tainted.
The Sage kneeled beside the fallen Barbarian as the Warrior rose from the ground. The Warrior quickly ran to the Barbarian. The Sage told the Warrior that the Black General stabbed the Barbarian with the Fell Dagger that can turn any soul into an impure soul. The Barbarian would turn into a demon within minutes and there was nothing they could do. The Warrior cried and screamed “THERE MUST BE SOMETHING!!” The Sage was quiet for a moment and pulled out a book made from black steel. It was handed to the Warrior and when the Warrior grabbed it he was surprised at how light it was. Only a pound or two at most. The Warrior looked up at the Sage. The Sage let out a very heavy sign and told the Warrior to open the book to the forth chapter. The Warrior did and read “Chapter 4 – The Bond of Brotherhood”. As he did the book seemed to grow heavier in his arms. The book is the Atheist’s Bible. A book that uses magic that heaven nor hell can use. The Warrior read about how the bond of brotherhood can transfer major illnesses from one host to another so both have equal parts of the disease. It can also be used to split divine or hellish blessings, which may allow more than one person to have the power of heaven or hell. “Do it…” says the Warrior. The Sage says he can not do the spell because it is forbidding and the one making the sacrifice must speak the words. The Warrior said he would do it if the Sage would translate the cryptic texts for him. The Sage agrees and starts to speak. He tells the Warrior to grab the Barbarians arm, hand to forearm. The Warrior speaks the last words and an unexplainable pain, loneliness, terror, suffering, sadness, and hopelessness washed through him. A thin red dragon came from within the veins of the Barbarian and wrapped itself around both the Warrior and the Barbarian, burning its image into their arms. Both men pass out.

CONCEPTS

Trinity Group – A group of three travelers consisting of the Sage, the Barbarian, and the Warrior/Ranger. Also known as R.E.D.

R.E.D. Rex Ex gratia Deo (king, purely as a favor to God) – The nickname given to the Trinity Group by the world because of the red color two of the three characters possess and the title of the Sage as King of the World.

Bond of Brotherhood – A bond brought on by the love and compassion of one person to another, saving one from darkness but condemning both to neither heaven or hell.

Generals of the Compass Rose – The four generals of the North, South, East, and West. They are actually the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

Regiments of Hell – A nickname for the Armies of the Compass Rose.

Atheist’s Bible – A book of spells that the divine/damned can not perform. Only humans can perform these spells and is usually considered such dark magic that even the Devil himself would not touch it. Generals of the Compass Rose

General of the North, the White Horseman, Pestilence/Conquest – Bow and Crown, Strong Horse, controls Europe and Russia, crest of crown with halo.

I watched as the Lamb opened the first of the seven seals. Then I heard one of the seven living creatures say in a voice like thunder, “Come Forward.” I looked, and there before me was a white horse! Its rider held a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on Conquest

General of the West, the Red Horseman, War – Huge Sword, Huge Horse, controls North and South America, crest of a sword on fire.

When the Lamb opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, “Come and see.” Then another horse came out, a fiery red one. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a massive sword.
General of the South, the Black Horseman, Famine – Scale, Sickly Horse, controls Africa, Middle East and South Asia, crest of a imbalanced scale.

When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, “Come and see.” I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, “A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!”

General of the East, the Pale Horseman, Death – Scythe, Corpse or Ghostly Horse, controls China, Japan, Indonesia, and Australia, crest of a skull with scythe and sword crossed through it.

When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come and see.” I looked and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hell was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

SIDE NOTE

Gate to Hell – To close the gates of hell a pure soul needs to be sacrifices. Sage is seen praying, with weapons on side, and gets up, disrobes and walks to the gate. The barbarian tells him he does not need to do this, but the sage jumps into the fire pillar and the barbarian screams to the sage and the warrior holds back the barbarian. The warrior tells the barbarian that they need to leave. As they escape the building falls and the gate is closed. The barbarian looks at the ruins with (a piece of the sages cloths) in hand and screams a roar as tears stream down his face.

Crushing Defeat – Demon army approaches the three. One HUGE demon walks in front of the others and talks some shit. Then the demon walks up to the barbarian and says something like “I WILL TEAR YOU LIMB FROM LIMB AND YOUR MOTHER WILL CRY IN AGONY FROM THE SIGHT OF YOUR MANGLED BODY!!!” The barbarian pauses, then tells the demon that his breath stinks, and then crushes the demon into the ground with his hammer. Blood flies everywhere.

Automatic Tank Launcher – when the rift from this world and the hellish world is torn, evil may enter this world. But, to enter this world takes a lot of energy (eg blood sacrifice, spells, demonic relics) and is a long, painful process. Later in the story the forces of evil come up with a machine that can retrieve and launch demons from the hellish world into ours, with speed and efficiency. It will look like an artillery canon with a small rift gate in the center of it.

Double Hammer Time – When the Barbarian becomes so enraged that the Sage was sacrificed for the sake of humanity, he challenges the heavens themselves for the soul of the Sage. A high angel comes down to meet his challenge and a great battle breaks out. In his rage the Barbarian calls forth the powers of heaven and hell becoming an angelic demon that wields two gigantic hammers; one a heavenly white/light blue and the other a demonic black/red.
